University of Miami alumna Kate Barnett, will speak Thursday about her journey from student to a Nielsen vice president at a School of Communication forum.
Barnett, vice president of digital client solutions, will discuss the different roles she has held during her eight years at Nielsen.
Starting out as an administrative assistant, Barnett has held many positions such as manager and director of client solutions. In her current position since March, Barnett is responsible for strategy and pricing for third party platforms, programmatic TV, and the use of traditional TV data in the digital marketplace
The Miami native graduated from UM, where she received her B.S. in media management and economics in 2008.
Currently living in New York, Barnett has stepped into a new role as vice president since March 2017.
Barnett’s presentation, which is open to the public, will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Communication International Building, Room 2055.
