Car Crash Brief

A South Miami man was killed after crashing his car into another vehicle and a tree Wednesday evening near the University of Miami campus, according to Coral Gables police.

Norris Dunham, 23, was driving a 2010 Subaru when he struck Harrison Spencer’s 2014 Acura on U.S. 1 and Granada Boulevard at about 9 p.m. Dunham then crashed into a large tree, police said.

Two bystanders removed Dunham from the car. Police arrived and administered CPR on Dunham until an ambulance took him to Doctors Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Spencer, 81, was also taken to Doctors Hospital but his injuries were minor.

The crash is still under investigation.
